Our 3.5g Weed Bags are made for brands, packaging distributors, and co-packers. They give regulated cannabis products and other dry goods a compact, dependable packaging option. This small format works for single-serving retail, and it still leaves enough room for custom branding, product info, and required label content.
These bags are made out of elastic multilayered film. They can be modified according to different needs on barrier, sealing, appearance and printing. Based on how the bags are used, we can choose a material structure which meets your requirements in terms of moisture, oxygen and light barrier properties and which would ensure the durability of the bags during transportation.

Notes 120 microns per side is on the high end for the 3.5g category. A lot of similar bags are 80–100 microns. At 120, the film is stiffer, the zipper track keeps its shape better, and the seal holds up longer after 20+ open-and-close cycles. Another plus: the foil layer blocks light more evenly at this thickness, so there are fewer light leaks. |

Why the material works
BOPP outer layer:
good printability and scratch resistance. BOPP is clearer and glossier than regular OPP, so it's great for bold, high-saturation brand visuals.
Foil PET middle layer:
the core of odor control and freshness. The foil blocks odor molecules from moving through, and it also blocks UV and oxygen. THC in cannabis buds turns into CBN when exposed to oxygen, which lowers potency. The foil layer slows that down.
PE inner layer:
the heat-seal layer. PE melts under the bag machine's heat-seal jaws to form the seal and also anchors the zipper. The three layers are laminated under controlled tension and temperature. If any layer doesn't bond well, the bag can delaminate during use.
Four Main Selling Points
Odor control
Smell can escape two ways: through the film itself and through the seals and zipper gaps. So simply making the bag thicker won't fix it. 3.5g Weed Bags use a foil layer to block smell through the film. The seals are made with constant heat held within ±2°C, which helps avoid weak seals or burn-through on the inner PE. The zipper seals by precise structure, not by clamping down harder.
Resealable
The zipper is the most-used part. A consumer might open and close it 10–15 times a week. Once it slips, freshness is pretty much gone. Our zipper is durability tested to still seal after 50+ open-and-close cycles. The 120-micron film also helps keep the bag from bending out of shape over time.
Child-resistant
A CR zipper works by press-and-pull: adults can understand and do it, but kids usually don't have the hand strength or fine motor skills. Common options include Grip-n-Pull and Press-to-Open. We match the option to your market's rules. CR performance has to pass ASTM D3475 or CPSC 16 CFR 1700.20 finished-product testing. As the supplier, our job is to provide CR zipper bags made to the design.
Custom packaging options
We can adjust the structure and finish of 3.5g Weed Bags for your product and market. Custom options include matte, gloss, or soft-touch film; spot UV; foil stamping; windows; custom die-cuts (rounded corners, hang holes); zipper closures; tear notches; and different print effects.
