The composite film construction (food-safe) of our Matcha Tea Bags consists of an innermost (bonded) layer of food-safe polyethylene (LDPE) which has a soft (flexible) non-toxic odourless contact surface that retains the aroma of matcha while not leaching any harmful solutions. The exterior layer (matte polyester or degradable PLA) provides a balance between rigid structural integrity and environmentally friendly. The innermost layer of film (polyethylene) or compostable bio-based material alternatives are 100% recyclable and are produced to meet current green branding concepts. Additionally, there is the option to add an aluminum foil composite layer which blocks ≥99% of light providing UV protection from the sun's radiation that could otherwise cause chlorophyll breakdown and fade colour, add to moisture-proof and anti-oxidation performance and eliminate the previous issues of moisture absorption, cake formation and/or flavour loss. All raw materials used have passed stringent testing such as potassium permanganate consumption testing and confirm lead-chromium migration testing to meet EU and USA food contact legislation for direct export.

Designed for matcha's sensitivity to air, moisture, and light, the high-barrier structure keeps oxygen transmission ≤ 3cm³/(m²·24h·atm) and moisture transmission ≤ 5g/(m²·24h). It effectively isolates air, moisture, and odors, slowing oxidation, locking in fresh fragrance and vivid green color, and extending shelf life to 12–24 months.
Easy Tear & Reusable Seal
The bag has a micro-tooth easy-tear edge for clean, effortless opening without powder leakage. A customizable zipper seal allows repeated tight resealing, blocking air after each use to maintain freshness and fit daily portioned consumption.
Wide Temperature Resistance
Withstanding -20℃ to 120℃, the material supports refrigerated storage to slow oxidation and withstands heat-seal filling without softening or leaking, covering production, storage, and transportation needs.

In simple Oriental style, colors center on matcha green and off-white, with optional cherry blossom, bamboo, and other Eastern patterns. Gravure and digital printing up to 10 colors ensures consistent, fade-resistant hues using food-safe inks that do not touch the tea. Matte, glossy, or frosted finishes are customizable for high-end independent station branding.
Flexible Sizing
Sizes are tailored for 5g, 8g, 10g, and other dosages, with three-side seal and stand-up pouch options. Stand-up pouches stand steadily for shelf display and consumer storage, ideal for retail and gift sets.
Practical Details
A transparent window lets customers inspect tea quality. Product info, brewing guides, and brand logos can be printed to strengthen identity. Thickened heat-sealed edges are burr-free and secure, preventing powder leakage and ensuring safe, reliable use.
